New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States, and is home to New York City. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north.

During the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus in Great Britain, the day before broadcasts in Britain ceased, there were reports of Infection in New York. (28 Days Later (film)) However, these reports were presumably false, and were most likely spawned from paranoia.
On Day 15 of the outbreak, JFK in New York was heavily and strictly guarded due to the outbreak in Britain, and there was mass paranoia at the airport of Infection, as shown by people panicking when a single person sneezed. Clint Harris and Derrick took a plane to Europe from JFK.
Two days after the Second Outbreak of Infection in London, Selena and Clint Harris took a plane from Paris to New York to meet Eliott Muniz there. (28 Days Later (comic series))
