Charles was the husband of Janice and one of the residents of District One during the repatriation of London.
Biography[]
During the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus, Charles and his wife, Janice, were separated. Charles left Janice a video at their house telling her to escape to her mother's home, and then disappeared. He and Janice survived the outbreak and were apparently reunited and rescued at some point.
Seven months after the outbreak, Charles and Janice were two of the residents of District One when the US Army began repatriating London.
28 Days Later (comic series)[]
Clint Harris met and befriended Charles and Janice after recognising them from the video Charles left Janice during the initial outbreak. The following night, when the Second Outbreak of the Rage Virus occurred and Code Red was executed, Janice was hit by a stray bullet from the District One military forces.
After Charles and a wounded Janice met up with Clint, a sniper shot and killed Janice, leaving Charles devastated. While Clint escaped District One, Charles, heartbroken by the death of his wife, stayed behind and allows an oncoming Infected to kill him, in the process buying Clint some time to escape.
